Working with government, industry, academia and research to build resilience for ocean sustainability
In the spirit of the United Nations World Oceans Day 2026 theme, “Reimagine: Beyond the World We Know, A New Relationship with Our Ocean,” and Taiwan's 7th National Ocean Day theme, “Together with the Ocean, Imagining the Future,” the National Academy of Marine Research and the Taiwan Association for Sustainable Development Exchange will co-host the 5th Ocean Sustainability Forum on Thursday, 26 November 2026, at the NTUH International Convention Center. The forum theme is “Imagining the Ocean, Sustaining the Future.”
The program focuses on ocean technology, data applications, conservation, the blue economy and youth participation. It will also present the final projects and awards of the 4th NODA Ocean Big Data Competition.
Hsieh Yi-Teng, General Manager of Kaiteng International Business Co., Ltd., is invited to give the opening keynote, “From Ocean Conventions to the Blue Economy: Building a Legal Breakwater for Ocean Sustainability.” The session will be introduced and chaired by Yu Hsien-Wen, Chairperson of the Taiwan Association for Sustainable Development Exchange.
