Choosing a service area

Management system audits focus on organizational processes, responsibilities, controls and continual improvement. Verification and validation focus on a specific claim, applicable criteria, data boundaries and the reliability of evidence. First clarify customer or regulatory requirements, expected deliverables and existing systems, then identify the relevant standard.

Standard types and division of work

This page groups services by business need; it does not mean every standard is a management system certification or verification standard. ISO 20400 and ISO 26000 are guidance standards; ISO 22716 is cosmetics GMP guidance; ISO 17298 provides biodiversity management requirements and guidance. Individual pages explain their scope.

Captain International supports system setup, internal audits, data preparation and external review readiness. Where an independent certificate or verification/validation opinion is required, a qualified body under the applicable program performs the assessment and decides the result. Support does not guarantee a pass.

Versions and alignment with existing systems

At project start, confirm the current standard edition and the program that will accept the application. Refer to the relevant service pages for the status of existing BS 10012 and ISO 14068-1 editions and transition considerations.
