Manufacturers, brand owners and trading companies exporting electrical, electronic or other products that may fall within the CCC catalogue, as well as companies adding models or changing production sites or key components.
First determine whether the product is covered
CCC does not follow one identical procedure for every imported product. Review catalogue descriptions and boundaries, subsequent notices and the implementation rule for the relevant product. Do not decide from the product name or an outdated catalogue alone. The China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) publishes CCC information and implementation rules. Whether third-party certification, self-declaration or an exception applies depends on the product category and current rule.
Documents to prepare
Create a model-by-model comparison of intended use, ratings, construction, key components and production locations. Add photographs, nameplates, drawings and test reports. List the applicant, manufacturer and production enterprise separately rather than combining different roles under one company name.
This list supports an initial discussion of grouping and document gaps. Final model grouping, sample quantities and detailed documents depend on the applicable procedure.

Frequently asked questions
We already have CE or other test reports. Do we still need CCC?
First confirm whether the product is within CCC scope, then assess how existing reports may be used. A document for another market does not by itself complete the CCC procedure.
Can all models go into one application?
Evaluate grouping under the product rule and model differences. Provide model numbers, ratings, construction and key-component variations.
What if the factory or a component changes after certification?
Document the change and assess its impact under the applicable rule and receiving body's requirements. Keep shipped products aligned with the evaluated information.
