Captain International Invited to the “Net-Zero Society in Practice” Forum Series to Discuss ISCC in Shipping Decarbonization and Carbon Management

Bringing industry, academia and research together for a sustainable future in maritime transport

In response to global shipping decarbonization and international climate requirements, the Taiwan Net-Zero Strategy and Sustainable Development Association, Ship and Ocean Industries R&D Center, and Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Taiwan University will jointly hold the Net-Zero Society in Practice Forum Series: Technology Pathways for Shipping's Net-Zero Transition and a Sustainable New Course on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Xiushan Lecture Hall in NTU's Mechanical Engineering Building.

The forum brings together scholars and industry experts in renewable energy, maritime transport and sustainability management to discuss alternative fuels, solid oxide fuel cells, life-cycle thinking and related technology and decision pathways.

Hsieh Yi-Teng, General Manager of Captain International Business Co., Ltd., has been invited to deliver the second keynote, “Green Energy-Driven Net-Zero Transition and Carbon Management Strategies.” His presentation is titled “Applying International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC).” It will examine how ISCC can support sustainable traceability in alternative fuel supply chains, carbon footprint management and alignment with international climate requirements, including those of the EU, to help businesses develop practical low-carbon transition pathways.

Captain International has long provided advisory support for ISO management systems and ESG sustainability verification. It plans to continue working with government, academia and industry and to support Taiwan's maritime and manufacturing sectors in building green competitiveness during the net-zero transition.
